Orderly books, 1779-1780.

These items detail the activities of the troops under the command of Captain Jonathan Titus during the war. The first volume covers the period from 29 May 1779 to 5 August 1779 when troops were positioned near Albany, Fort Plank, and Lake Otsego, New York. The second volume covers the period from 19 June to 28 July 1780 when troops were stationed in the vicinity of the Hudson River Highlands and West Point, New York. Orderly books includes plans for marches, guard duty and patrol duty assignments, and details of other routine military duties.
